Thomas R. Merry earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame in 1989. He received his B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1986. Mr. Merry worked in a large law firm in Columbus, Ohio and was previously a part of the legal department for Bank One Corporation. He was a litigation department chair in a small firm before starting Thomas R. Merry Co., L.P.A. in 2002.

Mr. Merry concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial bankruptcy, workouts, foreclosures, collections and litigation. He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association and The Columbus Bar Foundation. Mr. Merry was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1989, the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio in 1990, the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona in 1991, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio in 1994 and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in 1999.

He is active in the marriage ministry program at Saint John Neumann Roman Catholic Church and enjoys all sports.
